Finca El Mirador creates new possibilities. For years, Elkin Guzman has been among the most innovative producers in Colombia. On his farm in the Huila region, he develops proprietary fermentation methods, thanks to which his coffees are recognized by specialty lovers all over the world.Nectar Tropical is the result of his many years of experimentation with the co-fermented process – a combination of knowledge, experience, and the courage to push the boundaries of what modern specialty coffee can be.ROASTER'S OPINIONThis is exactly why I love specialty coffee. My first contact with Elkin Guzman was through Instagram in 2017. Back then, to me, he was one of those producers who were pushing the boundaries of what coffee could be. In 2021, his coffees appeared in the STORY Coffee Roasters offer for the first time. In June 2023, we met in person in Athens, and a few months later, I had the opportunity to visit Elkin on his farm in Huila and see with my own eyes the place where these extraordinary lots are created.Today, his coffees are regular guests in our offer and are something more than just another product on the shelf. They are a reminder that behind every cup there are people, relationships, and a shared passion for creating something exceptional. And the coffee itself? It is a true tropical bomb. Juicy mango, lychee, passion fruit, and starfruit combine with the creamy texture of a yogurt milkshake. The whole experience resembles a piña colada sipped under a palm tree somewhere on the Caribbean coast. Intense, surprising, and absolutely unforgettable.Store in a dry and cool place.

The Barn - Colombia Balanced Washed Decaf Omniroast 250 g

Manufacturer: THE BARN

Roasting date: 22.06.2026

Whole bean specialty coffee from Colombia, roasted in Berlin by The Barn. Medium roasted, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods, as well as for espresso. In the cup, you can expect the notes of milk chocolate and plum.Country: ColombiaRegion: HuilaFarm: Huila CooperativeProcessing: WashedMethod of decaffeination: SugarcaneVarietal: Caturra & CastilloAltitude: 1700 m a.s.l.Cupping score: 86 / 100A sweet and silky coffee, with delicious balance. Expect notes of caramel, shortbread, and creamy milk chocolate. With a touch of yellow plum and dried fruit as it cools, this is a decaf for any occasion.ABOUT THE FARMThe coffee was produced as a collaboration of select coffee producers in Huila, who grow coffee between 1400 and 2000m. Located in southwestern Colombia, Huila is nestled between the Central and Eastern ranges of the Andes. Variations in altitude results in Huila being one of the most unique and complex regions of coffee production in Colombia. The terroir, climate, and harvest cycles all contribute to the quality of coffee produced here.ABOUT THE PROCESSThe coffee is picked ripe and pulped the same day, before open fermentation in tanks for 12–36 hours. The coffee is then washed clean of its mucilage before drying on patios. Once dry, the beans are decaffeinated through the sugarcane or Ethyl Acetate process. A solution of water and Ethyl Acetate - derived from Colombian sugarcane crops - is used to gently extract caffeine while maintaining the important flavour compounds in the coffee. The coffee is then rinsed and dried.ROASTER'S OPINIONLess Caffeine. Full Flavor. Our Balanced Decaf delivers a clean and classic Colombian cup profile: sweet, balanced, and approachable with excellent clarity. Created for those looking to reduce caffeine without compromising on quality, this coffee offers all the comfort and flavour of specialty coffee - without caffeine. For many years, we said no to decaf. Today, a new generation of decaffeination is changing that: Using a natural sugarcane EA process, caffeine is gently removed while preserving sweetness, structure, and the coffee’s origin character.Store in a cold and dry space.

Notes of dried fig, blueberry, and apricot are sweetly balanced. Fragrant vanilla and lavender will appear as it cools, with a defined complexity that is a signature of the farm.ABOUT THE FARMThe West Valley is the most prominent coffee growing region in Costa Rica. Most of its coffees are grown under protective shade, and produced on fertile clay. The mountainous landscape is dominated by three volcanoes and a gentle tectonic depression, while the Pacific weather patterns create well-defined dry and wet seasons. Volcan Azul is located on the edges of the Poás Volcano. For 5 generations, the producers have continued making coffee with the objective in mind of achieving excellence and superior quality. The descendants of the founder's families are acquiring natural tropical forests in order to protect and preserve the environment, and to reduce air contamination and global warming. It is their way of contributing to a better future for the generations to come.THE PROCESSThe process for this lot starts when cherries are still on the tree. By constantly measuring the Brix sugar content level, Alejo and his team seek to identify the ideal moment to pick the coffee. Cherries are then sorted and transferred whole to raised beds for slow drying.ROASTER"S NOTECoffees from Volcan showcase a truly special combination of terroir and expertise. Trigger - Burundi Nemba Yeast Inoculated Washed Filter 250 g

Manufacturer: TRIGGER

Whole-bean specialty coffee from Burundi, roasted by Trigger roasting brand. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. The brew resembles the flavour of plum jam, strawberry and gooseberry.Country: BurundiRegion: KayanzaFarm: Greenco Coffee local farmsProcessing: Yeast Inoculated WashedAltitude: 1700 m a.s.l.Variety: Red BourbonCupping score: 87 / 100 ABOUT THE COFFEENemba Intenso is a rich, fruity coffee from Burundi with such depth that every sip feels multi-layered and full of life. It is characterized by notes of dark fruits and bright berries, while remaining clean on the palate and very enjoyable to drink. This lot comes from the Nemba washing station in Kayanza, northern Burundi, where 1,074 smallholder farmers deliver coffee cherries from their farms located at an altitude of approximately 1,700 meters above sea level, near the Kibila forest.ABOUT THE PROCESSINGWhat sets this lot apart is the processing method: after de-pulping, the coffee ferments for about 96 hours using LALCAFÉ INTENSO™ yeast – a strain developed specifically for coffee through four years of research. Extended yeast fermentation enhances flavor complexity, acidity, and floral notes far beyond what a standard washed process provides, while maintaining clarity and flavor structure. After fermentation, the parchment coffee is washed, sorted by density, and dried on raised beds for 10 to 14 days under strict supervision.ROASTER'S OPINIONNemba Intenso is a rich, fruity, and remarkably distinctive coffee from Burundi, with a profile that goes far beyond the boundaries of a classic washed coffee. Intense notes reminiscent of plum jam and strawberries give the brew a deep, sweet fruity character, balanced by a crisp gooseberry acidity that brings it all to life. The brew is clean, multi-layered, and full of energy, with a long finish that continues to surprise. Complex, expressive, yet balanced and very enjoyable to drink – one of the most interesting coffees from Burundi we have had the opportunity to taste.V60 RECIPEwater temperature: 92 degrees Celsius 300 g water 21 g coffee grind size 7.1 (Fellow Ode II)Pre-infusion 75 g water pour: 0-0:10150 g water pour: 0:30-0:40225 g water pour: 1:00-1:10300 g water pour: 1:30-1:40 All water should finish drawing down around 2:10 - 2:20.Store in a cool, dry place.

YOCO - Colombia Cherry Honey Filter 250 g

After depulping, the beans, still in their mucilage, are co-fermented with yeast and cherry flavors to enhance their fruity profile. The fermentation is enriched with sugar cane, which increases the sugar content and intensifies the five-day fermentation. Once the fermentation is complete, the beans are pre-dried in the sun and then mechanically in static silos. After a 30-day stabilization period, the flavors merge, resulting in a complex, well-balanced coffee.
