During processing, it is partially oxidized (it belongs to semi-fermented teas).Drought of heterogeneous color, in shades from olive green to brown; curled leaves. A light, slightly golden, straw-colored infusion. Perceptible toasty notes in the aroma. The infusion tastes clean, full, delicate, light and sweet. Olong GABA tea by Teasome. GABA teas are the result of a successful experiment with tea. Developed in the 1980s in Japan, they were designed to naturally produce the highest levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which has proven to have a beneficial effect on our nervous system. Some time later, it appeared that Taiwanese oolongs produced using this method tasted very delicious. An incidental, yet pleasant side-effect, right?The whole trick consists of anaerobic processing of freshly picked leaves, and then continuing the standard tea production process as normal. The GABA Oolong we have to offer is medium-oxidised and is delicately roasted, which retains a lot of natural sweetness. You can find the sweetness of watermelon, strawberries and forest fruits, but also of maple syrup or linden honey. The famous oolong Da Hong Pao, also known as Big Red Robe, is a Chinese tea shrouded in many mysteries... and often poorly understood. And it's no wonder, as it has a truly convoluted history. The original mother bushes of this tea are probably the six most closely guarded tea bushes in the world. Tea is no longer produced from them, and the Da Hong Pao available everywhere is most often a blend of various rock tea cultivars.Our offered Da Hong Pao comes from the Wuyi Mountains and is produced from a blend of various cultivars. The goal is to best capture the flavor of the original rock teas (yancha). It is a good quality tea, inviting slow exploration of the character of roasted oolongs. It's easy to find the highly desired mineral notes, as well as cocoa or fruity ones. Oolong tea by Teasome. Jin Xuan, aka Golden Lily, is simply the translation of one of Taiwan’s most famous cultivars (numbered #12 in Taiwan). It is often coincidentally connected with Milk Oolong; a name we also had called it - however, it is absolutely not flavoured with milk! This would be against our philosophy, because at the end of the day, we only offer natural teas, and naturally flavoured teas.Here’s the thing - Jin Xuan is a unique, naturally sweet cultivar with characteristically milky-buttery notes.
