During the harvest season, approximately 1,200 local farmers deliver their coffee cherries to the station.Our coffee lot comes from the special Malebo Project. It is a coffee produced by the Idido station, available exclusively to the importer Cafe Imports, for which only Grade 1 beans from the Idido area were selected. It was the only coffee from Idido in that season to undergo washed processing. Part of the proceeds from the Malebo Project is donated to support the local orphanage, Ardent Children Center.

In taste you can expect hints of cranberry, dark chocolate and sweet notes.Origin: ColombiaRegion: Sotara, CaucaFarm: Manos Juntas washing stationProcessing: NaturalVariety: Castillo, Caturra, ColombiaAltitude: 1400-2000 m a. s. l.ABOUT THE FARM AND THE COFFEE“Manos Juntas” in Spanish means “Hands Together.” This is the name of a coffee processing station that serves as a platform for cooperation between importers and local farmers in the Cauca region of Colombia. Coffee here is most often processed using the natural or honey method, and experiments with aerobic fermentation are also common.Fun fact: Our coffee lot was delivered to the station on the very day of harvest. Its parameters were then evaluated, and the cherries were placed in large hermetic tanks for 5 days of anaerobic fermentation. At the appropriate moment, the coffee is exposed to a temperature of 20°C to halt fermentation and remove yeast. The cherries then “mature” in the tanks for another 5 days before being transferred to solar dryers. Drying takes 30 to 45 days.
