We are Terroir—a new-wave tea company focused on specialty and organic teas. For us, terroir represents more than just a geographic location in the traditional sense; it also encompasses the people, their way of life, and the culture that make every tea unique. At Terroir, we believe that tea is perfectly sufficient on its own. Our goal is to demonstrate how authentic, complex, and yet accessible tea made from Camellia leaves can be. After seven years of working in tea production in Nepal, our co-founder and technologist developed a signature style and created several experimental processing methods—sometimes a bit wild, but all the more intriguing!

Terroir - Ceremonial matcha Miyazaki Saemidori 30 g

This is a top-tier ceremonial matcha with a refined and distinct flavor profile. Compared to everyday variants, it is characterized by a cleaner, deeper, and more balanced taste. In the aroma of the dried tea, light floral notes and a delicate, creamy accent are detectable.In flavor, it is smooth and balanced, with noticeable umami, delicate sweetness, and a hint of astringency that provides structure without being sharp. The consistency is delicate and uniform, creating a thick, stable foam and a clean mouthfeel.Ingredients: 100% organic green tea from ecological farmingOrigin: Miyazaki, JapanBrewing Instructions: Intended for traditional water-based brewing, which best reveals its structure and harmony of flavors. Brew for 2-3 min at 70°C.Processing Method: First harvest of 2025, processed in March 2026. The leaves were shaded for 20–25 days before harvest; hand-picked.Store in a cold and dry space.

Terroir - Daily matcha Kikyo 50 g

This is a simple, everyday matcha tea. Compared to other offerings from Terroir, it has a more distinct character—it is greener and fresher, with a brighter and more intense flavor profile. The aroma of the dried leaves reveals notes of cream, pumpkin, spices, and green leaves.When milk is added, the flavor profile shifts toward pumpkin and spices, supported by a delicate, creamy base. It pairs particularly well with milk, maintaining its intensity and clarity. The consistency is stable and easy to work with, making it a reliable choice for everyday use.Ingredients: 100% organic green tea from ecological farmingOrigin: Shizuoka/Kagoshima, JapanBrewing Instructions: We suggest mixing with milk. Brew for 2-3 min at 70°CProcessing Method: The leaves were harvested in the summer of 2025; prior to harvest, they were shaded from the sun for 12-16 days. Ground in March 2026.Store in a cool, dry place.
