Klaro - Burundi Businde Drip Bag 11 g

Manufacturer: KLARO

Roasting date: 10.04.2026

A drip bag is a pocket-sized dripper filled with specialty coffee, sealed in an airtight sachet. It's a perfect choice for anyone who doesn't want to give up their favorite coffee, no matter where they are. Discover the convenience and flavor of drip bags today! In this package, you will find coffee from Burundi. You can feel taste of apple cider, white grapes and caramel.Country: BurundiRegion: KayanzaVarietal: Red BourbonProcessing: Anaerobic NaturalABOUT THE PROCESSINGIf you like distinct, fruity flavors, these beans are a bullseye! The anaerobic natural processing method imparts notes reminiscent of cider, white grapes, and caramel sweetness, creating a complex and multi-layered brew. What is the secret? During anaerobic natural processing, the cherries are fermented in sealed barrels for approximately 72 hours. Then, they are dried together with the pulp surrounding the bean, which allows it to absorb a deep, slightly boozy acidity and complex sweetness. One sip and you will see why Burundi is taking the coffee scene by storm!ROASTER'S OPINIONA drip bag is the perfect solution for specialty coffee fans who value convenience and quality. The sachets are lightweight and take up little space – they are perfect for travel, business trips, and work. All you need is a mug and hot water to brew a cup of filter coffee in just a few minutes.RECIPEPlace the opened drip bag on a mug and pour water into it two or three times (ideally about 180-200 ml). I recommend brewing in slightly taller mugs so that the drip bag does not touch the coffee that has already been brewed.Store in a cool and dry place.

The taste has notes reminiscent of ripe banana, red wine and herbs.Country: Indonesia (Sumatra)Region: Kerinci Valley, West SumatraFarm: Camintoran CooperativeProcessing: NaturalVarietal: S Lini & CaturraCupping score: 86 / 100 pointsAltitude: 1250 - 1600 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE COFFEEThis Sumatra has nothing in common with the heavy, earthy profiles Indonesia was once famous for. It is wild, juicy, and surprisingly elegant.Natural processing brought out a tremendous amount of sweetness and a character reminiscent of a glass of fine red wine. Ripe banana brings a creamy fruitiness, herbal notes add freshness, and the whole experience is tied together by a pleasant, rummy finish. This is a coffee that reveals new layers of flavor with every passing minute in the cup.The beans come from the region surrounding Mount Kerinci – Indonesia's highest volcano. Volcanic soils, a tropical climate, and high-altitude plantations allow the cherries to ripen slowly, acquiring an exceptional concentration of flavor. This micro-lot is produced by farmers associated with the Camintoran Cooperative. The S-Lini and Caturra varieties underwent natural processing and were subsequently hand-sorted, allowing the coffee to maintain extraordinary clarity and a distinct, fruity character.BREWING RECOMMENDATION: 6.5 g / 100 ml, Drip V60 02, water temp.: 91°C, 24 clicks, brew time: 3 - 4 min / 600 ml.Store in a cool, dry place.

It is this region, located near the border with Honduras, that is responsible for many of the most highly valued Nicaraguan specialty coffees. The high altitude of the farms, the cool climate, and the long ripening period of the cherries translate into coffees with high sweetness, a clean profile, and great elegance in the cup.The coffees included in this lot come from the El Naranjal, Las Naranjas, and Los Angeles farms. The farmers manage their land under the shade of forest and fruit trees, taking care of biodiversity and soil fertility. Ripe cherries are hand-picked and then subjected to classic washed processing. After fermentation and washing, the coffee is dried for about twelve days under carefully controlled humidity and sun exposure.Behind the project is Cafetos de Segovia, an organization that has for years been helping local producers reach the specialty market directly. It places great emphasis on supply chain transparency, long-term cooperation with farmers, and fair compensation for high quality. Thanks to this, small family farms can focus on producing better and better coffee while preserving the character of the Nueva Segovia region, for which Nicaraguan specialty is famous.ROASTER'S OPINIONMy, what huge beans! This is a coffee that combines an excellent sensory profile with real support for the local community. The Coffee Gardens project is built around the idea of transparent specialty coffee production. Farmers receive training in shade-grown coffee cultivation, sustainable agricultural practices, and the careful harvesting of fully ripe cherries. These practices allow for beans of exceptional quality and a clean flavor profile. The varieties grown here, Nyasaland, SL14, and SL28, are known for their high sensory potential, offering the complexity and elegance typical of the best African coffees.ABOUT THE COFFEEThe fully washed process has been refined down to the smallest detail. Coffee cherries reach the processing station within a few hours of harvest. They then undergo depulping, initial washing, and a long, controlled fermentation in cool mountain spring water lasting around 40 hours. This slow and gentle process brings out maximum clarity in the cup and highlights the coffee’s natural fruit notes. Before export, the coffee is sorted through as many as 12 stages, ensuring the highest level of bean selection. In the cup, Uganda Zebigi presents a harmonious and elegant profile. Notes of juicy apple and sweet grapes are clearly noticeable, followed by a subtle, creamy vanilla. The coffee has a bright yet pleasant acidity, a light to medium body, and a clean, lingering finish. Willian Hoyos, Julián Sandoval, Rubén Castillo, and Yovany Muñoz cultivate coffee on several-hectare farms in the El Tambo micro-region, located west of Popayan, the capital of the Cauca department. The following synergy of factors makes the quality of their raw material so phenomenal:the microclimate in El Tambo and the cultivation altitude reaching above 2,000 meters result in slower cherry ripening, while lower humidity facilitates the drying process: the processed coffee loses water in a predictable and controlled manner,a thoughtful and precisely planned system of pruning and thinning older, less productive parts of the coffee trees to ensure optimal air throughput and sunlight, the producers' modern knowledge of fertilization combined with a traditional practice known locally as “re-re,” which involves the selective harvesting of overripe, undeveloped, or dried fruits and leaving them on the ground by the trees: thanks to this, more pests feed on the “waste” instead of attacking healthy batches, and, of course, conscious, restrictive cherry picking at the optimal ripeness stage combined with years of experience in the fermentation and drying process.Only the local population works during the harvest, forming the core of the community of several small El Tambo villages, which has naturally evolved around the continuous, seasonal cycle of coffee cultivation for generations.Javier FernandezJavier is the son of Don Andres, a producer whose coffees we have already hosted in our brown jars. His farm is just around the corner, and the terrace of the washing station offers such an extraordinary view of the valley and Lake Yojoa that if Bill Gates had visited this place, this very landscape would be world-famous as a Windows desktop wallpaper. The Fernandez family (there is also a second son, Nahun!) is not afraid to play with processing, and thanks to bold experiments, they deliver some of the best lots in all of Santa Barbara year after year. This is an opinion, not a fact. But also a fact.ABOUT THE COFFEE BEAN PROCESSING ON THE FARMIn the current Illuminati lineup, we have a combination of washed and honey processing with extended fermentation. El Tambo is a classic washed. Javier Fernandez is a more fermented wild card.ROASTER'S OPINIONOnce again, we apply the equation here: very good + very good ≤ very good. In the base, there is deep caramel sweetness and plenty of jammy fruitiness, the dark-blue, forest kind. And as a joker, a winey-tropical honey. 21st-century synergy. An espresso shot of this is pure goodness. Illuminati offers greater complexity than a classic Brazil. At the same time, it is very sweet, slightly fruity, and goes down well solo or with milk. Balance and a pleasant, yet in no way overpowering acidity – that is our main plan for this blend!Store in a cold and dry space.

Heresy - Guatemala Buena Tierra Honey Anaerobic Filter 252 g

Manufacturer: HERESY

Roasting date: 15.09.2026

Whole-bean specialty coffee from Guatemala, roasted by Heresy roasting brand. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. The brew resembles the flavour of dried fruits, wine, caramel, jam and honey.Origin: GuatemalaRegion: AcatenangoFarm: Buena TierraProcessing: Anaerobic honey Altitude: 1500-1800 m a.s.l.Cupping score: 87 / 100ABOUT THE FARM AND THE COFFEE PRODUCERBuena Tierra was founded in 2018 in the aftermath of a huge tragedy—the eruption of El Fuego, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, whose peak is visible from almost anywhere in Acatenango. This tragedy claimed the lives of hundreds or thousands of people (to this day, several hundred remain missing) and irrevocably destroyed two villages. Buena Tierra was created as a response to the crisis, serving as a long-term project to rebuild local communities. It supports producers by providing training, offering improved coffee plant varieties (such as Anacafe 14), facilitating access to fertilizers, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices that strengthen the long-term development of farms.Buena Tierra also houses a wet mill, where various methods characteristic of the specialty segment are used—washed, natural, honey, and anaerobic fermentation. By experimenting with innovative processing techniques, producers create unique flavor profiles that open up opportunities to introduce their coffees to foreign markets.ABOUT THE PROCESSINGAnacafe 14 variety, hand-picked, fermented with mucilage for 48 hours with limited air access after being separated from the fruit. Then dried on raised beds.ROASTER'S OPINIONAn unusual profile in the context of most Guatemalan coffees we have offered for years. Plenty of wine-like sweetness backed by complex fruitiness, all wrapped up with a caramel finish.Store in a cool and dry place.

This 36-year-old, who has been working with coffee for over half his life, invested all his resources two years ago to build a small, self-sufficient processing station – a depulper, fermentation tanks, and a small greenhouse for drying. From season to season, his coffees show increasing complexity on the cupping table, which translates into higher and higher prices he can demand for his lots!ABOUT THE COFFEE BEAN PROCESSING ON THE FARMCaturra and catuai varieties, hand-picked and then dried as whole cherries for about 25 days in the greenhouse built next to Edinson's house.ROASTER'S OPINIONWe are tossing the first natural from Peru this season into the roaster! Instead of heavy chocolate notes, expect intense fruity notes; we won't summarize it here because everyone just has to try it.ROASTER'S OPINIONNow this is a real hit! Fine-quality Robusta (the equivalent of "specialty" for Arabica), processed using fermentation with yeast strains. This is definitely not a coffee you'll find on every corner. Here we have heavy chocolate notes with a full body and a heavy brew typical for Canephora. The fermentation is most noticeable in the aftertaste and at lower temperatures, where chords reminiscent of grapes and blackcurrants emerge just as boldly. However, we won't disown the origin, and a terroir similar to Kenyan really does the trick here.ROYAL BEANSWhat’s behind the name Royal Beans? If Speciality beans are the pinnacle of coffee, our Royal Beans reach the Himalayas! In this series, we present the very top of the coffee pyramid, the crème de la crème, as precious as crown jewels. Anaerobic, Gesha, Nanolot, Lychee – what does it mean to go beyond the ordinary? – Royal Beans is a selection of coffees chosen by us from various roasters – they share exceptional flavor, limited production, unique processing methods, and the highest quality. A treat for coffee connoisseurs (and those aspiring to be)!RECIPEImmersion method17 g coffee / 270 g water at 95°CGrind size: coarseBloom: use 70 g of water and wait 50 seconds.Open the flow and add 100 g of water.Around 1:45 add another 100 g of water.Total time: 2:30 Store in a dry and cool place.

BeMyBean - Colombia El Indio Natural Filter 250 g

Manufacturer: BEMYBEAN

Roasting date: 09.09.2026

A whole-bean specialty coffee beans from Colombia, roasted by BeMyBean from Poland. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. You can expect hints of wild rose, blackberry, wine and hibiscus.Country: ColombiaRegion: TolimaFarm: El Indio Processing: NaturalVarietal: CaturraAltitude: 1700 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE COFFEEColombia El Indio comes from Planadas in the Tolima region, located among high mountains and volcanic soils. It is one of Colombia's most important coffee regions, where the cooler climate and high-altitude plantations favor the creation of coffees with great complexity. El Indio is composed of Caturra variety beans grown at an altitude of approximately 1,700 meters above sea level. The coffee comes from smallholder farms whose owners have been perfecting the art of natural processing for years. In the cup, El Indio immediately shows its intense, fruity character. There is juicy blackberry reminiscent of freshly picked, ripe fruits, the intensity of rosehip, and a delicate accent of hibiscus. The whole profile is brought together by a characteristic note of homemade wine, which adds depth, vinosity, and a bit of a fermentative kick to the coffee. It is a full, expressive, and sweet profile, but at the same time very aromatic – instead of a quiet fruity background, we get a cup that definitively attracts attention.ABOUT THE PROCESSINGThe coffee cherries go to drying as whole fruits, along with the skin and pulp. After harvesting, the best ripe cherries are selected and then spread out on raised beds. There, under the influence of the sun, they gradually lose water, and the sugars and aromatic compounds present in the fruit have time to interact with the bean.Drying is carried out very carefully. The quality control team checks the coffee up to four times a day, ensuring its even drying. This is particularly important in Tolima, where frequent rainfall occurs during the harvest season. However, the producers manage to master this demanding process – as much as 80% of their coffees undergo natural processing. It is the natural processing that is responsible for a large part of El Indio's character. Prolonged contact with the fruit during drying helps build intense sweetness, juiciness, and deep fruity notes. In this cup, this translates into a combination of blackberry juiciness, floral hibiscus, rosehip aroma, and the characteristic vinosity of homemade wine. This is a coffee for those who like filter brews with a distinct character and a profile that is hard to miss.Store in a cool and dry place.

Then, suddenly, it disappeared from our radar and we lost the chance to buy it again—until this harvest, twelve years later, when we cupped an exceptional Peaberry lot at the headquarters of Kenyacof in Nairobi.Guama takes its name from the village where it is grown, located on the western side of Kirinyaga, about 3 km from Kianyaga town, in the southern foothills of Mount Kenya at an altitude of 1,750 meters above sea level. Fermentation was carried out using only fresh river water from the Kaboyo River. This is a washed coffee grown in rich volcanic soil, with a classic Kenyan variety mix of SL34 and SL28—textbook quality in every sense.

HAYB - Costa Rica Hellen Mora Natural Espresso 250 g

Roasting date: 03.07.2026

Whole-bean specialty coffee from Costa Rica roasted at HAYB. Medium roast, perfect for espresso machines and moka pots.  In the cup, you can expect blueberries, red wine and milk chocolate.Origin: Costa RicaRegion: TarrazuVariety: GeishaProcessing: NaturalAltitude: 1800-1900 m a.s.l.Cupping score: 88 / 100Trip to Costa RicaThis is what direct trade means to me. We’ve been working with Hellen for three years now, thanks to Nicolas, who exports coffees from Costa Rica. Last year I had the pleasure of driving up the most winding and bumpy road to the top of a mountain where Hellen’s house and farm are located. We got there in a car Nico had borrowed from his mom, because his had broken down the day before. At some point his mom’s little SUV simply couldn’t make it any further, so Hellen drove down in her big pickup truck and towed us the rest of the way up.First she fed us, then she showed us the farm and told us its story. After the walk she prepared a cupping where she presented eight of her coffees. A cupping in the kitchen while rice and beans are cooking right next to you? Why not.The coffees were phenomenal. And that Geisha? That’s the coffee that’s been appearing in my dreams ever since I came back from Costa Rica. Lots of tropical fruit, but without the kind of fermentation often associated with coffees from this country. Notes of banana and pineapple, plenty of red, sweet wine, currants, and everything beautifully structured and right where it should be.I’m very happy that we’re also presenting such an exceptional coffee as an espresso. It’s the essence of that trip in a cup: sweetness, tropical fruit, bright acidity supported by deep sweetness. One of the warmest memories from that journey returns every time we roast and brew this coffee. I invite you to join me on this trip.ROYAL BEANSWhat’s behind the name Royal Beans? Roasting date: 15.09.2026

Whole-bean specialty coffee from Colombia, roasted by Heresy roasting brand. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. The brew resembles the flavour of red wine, tropical fruits, fermented notes,  blueberries and chocolate.Origin: ColombiaRegion: CaucaFarm: Las VillasProcessing: Mossto + wine barrel naturalAltitude: 1800 m a.s.l.Cupping score: 88 / 100ABOUT THE FARM AND THE PRODUCEROne of several boutique farms owned by Banexport—an institution from the Cauca region focused on continuous innovation, with which we are collaborating for the second season. Las Villas was established in 2012 and, like its sister plantations, is managed in an incredibly professional manner. The farm combines coffee cultivation with care for biodiversity, creating a system where a healthy ecosystem helps maintain high and repeatable coffee bean quality. Coffee trees are regularly weeded and pruned, and damaged cherries are removed after harvest to help limit pest development. Native tree species, as well as citrus trees and avocados, grow among the coffee bushes. They provide shade, protect the soil, attract beneficial organisms, and support the natural resilience of the entire farm.ABOUT THE PROCESSINGThe Castillo variety, hand-picked at peak ripeness, is transported on the same day to the Popayán city center to the state-of-the-art Area 18 laboratory.Fermented for 72 hours in a stainless steel bioreactor while controlling parameters such as temperature, pressure, and pH.Afterward, the fruit pulp undergoes sterile filtration before being placed along with the beans into American white oak barrels for 60 days.Drying takes place in mechanical chambers with controlled temperature and airflow. After five days, the beans reach optimal moisture levels, ensuring stability during storage and export.ROASTER'S OPINIONDefinitely not a coffee for everyone. If you like wine, intense flavors, and lots of action in life, you will love what's in the cup.ROYAL BEANSWhat’s behind the name Royal Beans?
