It’s run by the Kibirigwi Farmers’ Cooperative Society and supports smallholder farmers across various neighbour villages. Thunguri is a classic Kenyan washed lot, grown at high elevation in cool conditions and rich volcanic soil. Its main varieties, SL28 and SL34, give the coffee Kenya’s signature bright acidity and fruit-forward character. We’ve selected this particular lot for its balance and definition, a clean, high-toned washed Kenya with ripe blackcurrant, floral acidity, and a crisp, tea-like finish.
