It currently brings together around 300 members who cultivate a blend of traditional Ethiopian coffee varieties.Yirgacheffe has become famous for coffees with a distinct, often berry-like flavor profile. The region is exceptionally lush – the dense vegetation is the result of a warm, tropical climate with moderate rainy and dry seasons. Most of the coffee is grown by smallholder farmers, in the shade and using organic methods.The plantations are located at altitudes ranging from 1,600 to 2,400 meters above sea level.
