This is our signature selection of coffees that we particularly want to show and recommend to you in a given month. Espresso and Filter of the Month are carefully selected specialty coffees that will work great every day. Royal Coffee , already known from our cafes, is an option for those who want to reach even higher: a limited and slightly wilder coffee from the Royal Beans selection, distinguished by its unique taste, origin, or processing method. We thoroughly test each of them using various brewing methods, prepare recommended recipes, and tell the story of its beans. See for yourself what we have prepared for you this month! ABOUT THE COFFEEBombe Abore is a coffee originating from the Sidama region in Ethiopia, grown at an altitude of 1,920–2,020 m a.s.l. surrounded by lush vegetation and a humid climate. The cherries are supplied by approximately 1,022 local farmers managing small farms. The beans come from the 74110 and 74112 botanical varieties, which are characteristic of the region. The high altitude of the crops promotes slow ripening of the fruit, allowing its complex sensory profile to develop.ABOUT THE FARMThe cherries are delivered to the Abore station, located near the Bok Nora waterfall. Its name refers to a nearby bridge built in 1997 in honor of a local leader. The station plays an important role in local coffee production, offering both washed and natural processing. For the natural process, whole cherries are spread on raised African beds, where they dry slowly for about 16–25 days, depending on weather conditions. Regular turning of the fruit ensures even drying and reduces the risk of undesirable changes during processing. The production process is complemented by cherry selection, quality control, and responsible water and waste management. The station uses specialized equipment for sorting, fermentation, and washing of the beans, and wastewater from the processing is directed to a natural purification system. The combination of high altitude, local varieties, and careful processing results in coffees that truly reflect the character of the Sidama region.ROASTER'S OPINIONBombe Abore is a coffee with an exceptionally pleasant, fruity profile, where the sweetness of ripe fruits merges with delicate caramel notes and subtle citrus freshness. Berries and sweet, juicy strawberry—reminiscent of ripe fruits in peak season—are already prominent in the aroma. Overall, it is intensely fruity, sweet, and inviting, with a distinctly marked character of red and dark fruits. In terms of flavor, blueberries and sweet strawberry take center stage, accompanied by a pleasant caramel sweetness. A citrus-strawberry acidity introduces a touch of freshness to the profile and highlights the coffee's fruity character, while remaining gentle and well integrated with the other notes. As a result, the coffee maintains a harmonious character—it is juicy and distinct, but not overly acidic. A medium body provides it with a pleasant structure and adequate fullness, while high sweetness ensures that every sip remains smooth and balanced. The entire experience is rounded off by a long, sweet aftertaste, where accents of caramel, strawberries, and berries linger for a moment longer. This coffee is for those who appreciate clear fruitiness combined with high sweetness and mild acidity. Its profile is simultaneously juicy, sweet, and harmonious, while the caramel finish adds a pleasant depth. This is a brilliantly processed natural from a washing station with high expertise in producing top-quality lots. Although the station itself has been operating for only 10 years, the experience of the specialists working there is many times greater. It is very sweet and fruity—almost sticky—with everything rounded off by a delicate, slightly effervescent citrus acidity.Store in a dry and cool place.

I would never have made it to the Chiapas region in Mexico, and certainly not to Los Altos – the northeastern highlands of Chiapas, located about two hours from the state capital, San Cristóbal de las Casas.Andreas was my guide back then, and today he’s one of the funniest friends I have. Even though he now lives far away in the state of Veracruz, we still talk often. Coffee regions in this country are places where you need a pass – or at least a Mexican passport – to truly feel safe. During the long hours on the road, Andreas told me about the challenges local farmers face and about the NKG BLOOM program. In short, it’s an initiative supporting coffee producers around the world. Its goal is to help farmers develop their farms by providing access to financing, knowledge, modern technologies, and markets. This enables them to work more efficiently, increase their income, and lift themselves out of poverty. Traveling from farm to farm and visiting coffee warehouses, you could truly feel the financial and technological support behind the program. The state of Chiapas, where this coffee comes from, borders Veracruz and Oaxaca to the west, Tabasco to the north, and Guatemala to the east. It’s the same region, and the farms there are often just 20–30 kilometers apart. Yet traveling between them can take two to three hours due to road conditions. Despite such short distances, the flavor of the same botanical variety differs greatly from farm to farm. Microclimate and soil play a huge role.ABOUT THE COFFEEOur El Búho is a blend of Bourbon and Caturra varieties. It is a washed coffee. In the cup, you’ll find plenty of sweetness, reminiscent of milk chocolate and caramel. There is minimal yet noticeable fruitiness, bringing to mind mandarins or sweet oranges. As an espresso, it leans toward the sweeter side, lingering pleasantly on the palate. In milk-based drinks, it develops notes of toffee with a smooth texture.Mexico is an underrated coffee producer. Its complex history and current political situation do not make coffee imports easy – only 2% of the world’s available Arabica comes from this country. That makes us even more excited to shine a light on this origin and the coffees of the Chiapas region.Store in a cold and dry space.

It is located in the western part of the Cerro Verde volcano and was purchased in 2012 by the Pacas family enterprise, whose history spans five generations. The farm's name comes from the famous, gorgeous, and endangered Belloto trees, which can be easily found throughout the farm and create a dense canopy of shade for the coffee trees. The farm also faces the Izalco volcano, which protects the coffee trees from the wind.Ruperto Bernardino Merche is the farm manager and believes in human goodness. He managed to create a team of hardworking (tolerance to coffee rust is extremely low), spiritual souls who make great efforts to produce amazing coffees. Here, morning work starts earlier than usual because fog reduces visibility in the afternoon.BREWINGExtraction method using a professional espresso machine in 26 seconds:Extraction with a 14 g basketTemperature: 92°CDose: 16.5 gYield: 36 gStore in a cool and dry place.

Situated at an altitude of 1,900–2,100 meters above sea level, the farms benefit from a cooler climate, fertile soils, and large temperature differences between day and night. Such conditions favor the slow ripening of the cherries, allowing the beans to gradually develop their natural potential.Coffee trees grow among traditional, diverse crops that provide natural shade. The cherries are harvested by hand, and only fully ripe cherries are selected for further processing. Subsequently, they are processed using the natural method on raised beds, where they require regular turning and careful monitoring throughout the entire drying period. This process allows the origin's character to be preserved and the full potential of the bean to be brought out.ABOUT THE COFFEENotes of mandarin, milk chocolate, and spices dominate in the cup. Citrus accents combine with a chocolate character, while spicy notes complete the whole, creating a cohesive and harmonious flavor profile. This is a coffee that demonstrates the classic character of high-quality coffees from southern Ethiopia, in a version crafted specifically for pour-over brewing methods.Store in a dry and cool place.

In the cup, it delivers freshness, juiciness, and a highly organized profile, featuring a citrusy opening, a hint of dried fruits, and a spicy finish. No chaos. No exaggeration. Simply a good Ethiopia.ABOUT THE FARMBehind this coffee stands Bitta Coffee Farm, owned by Mullege – a family-run, long-established Ethiopian export company. The farm itself invests not only in production but also in local infrastructure, training, and support for neighboring communities. This is not just a footnote to the story. It is a key element of how stable quality is built. The JARC selections 74110, 74112, 74140, and 8136 are cultivated on Bitta Farm. These varieties are highly valued for their resilience and quality potential. In practice, they deliver a profile that maintains cleanliness, freshness, and a distinct flavor direction. COFFEE PLANT - Tanzania Mondul Washed Filter 250 g

Manufacturer: COFFEE PLANT

Roasting date: 28.09.2026

Whole-bean specialty coffee beans from Tanzania, roasted by COFFEE PLANT from Poland. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. You can expect hints of stone fruits, flowers, tea and lemon.Origin: TanzaniaRegion: ArushaFarm: Mondul EstateProcessing: Fully WashedVariety: BourbonAltitude: 1550-1900 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE FARMMondul Estate is part of the historic Burka Farm in the Arusha region, founded in 1899 by German settlers. Since 1929, it has been managed by a group of Swiss investors. The coffee trees grow at an altitude of 1,600–1,765 meters above sea level, under the shade of trees, which promotes the slow ripening of the fruit and the development of a complex profile.Over 200 people work permanently on the farm, and during the harvest season, up to 2,000 seasonal workers join them. The farm provides housing, medical care, and education for workers and their families, while focusing on responsible and environmentally friendly farming methods. The name "Mondul" comes from natural springs that have nourished the crops and local communities for generations. Water from these springs is also used for wet processing – after harvesting, ripe cherries are washed and fermented, then dried on raised African beds for about 7 days. This process preserves the clarity of the profile and brings out a delicate floral note, citrus, and tea-like qualities, without unnecessary heaviness or fermented character.ROASTER'S OPINIONIt is rare to come across coffee from a farm that has been operating continuously since 1899. Mondul is precisely such a case – one of the oldest and most recognizable farms in Tanzania, now belonging to Burka Estate at the foot of Mount Meru. The washed process emphasizes the clarity of the profile, allowing delicate florals, citrus, and a tea-like note to shine through. In the aroma, delicate flowers and fresh lemon come to the fore, with a light, tea-like note appearing in the background. In flavor, stone fruits build sweetness, while lemon brings a refreshing, medium acidity that does not dominate the profile. The finish remains gently tea-like. The coffee has a soft, velvety body, making it light and balanced.Store in a cool and dry place.

Their coffee journey began with opening a café and their own roastery, and their interest in green bean quality led them to start processing coffee themselves. Today, they work with a network of up to 500 local farmers across five growing areas, with cherries delivered to a processing centre in the town of Botolinggo.Kevenka combines traditional production methods with modern technologies, using density and color sorting for cherries to improve coffee quality and consistency. In the 2025 season, the producer also invested in a mechanical dryer, which allows for better control over the drying process in the region's humid climate. For the natural process, the cherries are dried for 11–13 days, after which the green coffee undergoes further sorting and quality control stages. Fertile volcanic soils, along with careful selection and processing, yield coffees with a refined, consistent profile.ROASTER'S OPINIONIndonesia Botolinggo from the Mount Ijen region is a natural-process coffee with an intense, sweet, and deep profile, where fruity notes of orange and plum merge with spices and dark chocolate. It is a full-bodied coffee with low acidity, where fruity character intertwines with distinct chocolate accents.Ripe plums and dark chocolate dominate the aroma, creating a sweet, deep combination. The taste features oranges and plums, complemented by a subtle spicy accent and an intense note of dark chocolate. Low acidity highlights the sweetness and keeps the cup smooth and gentle. The entire experience closes with a long, chocolatey finish. The quality of the bean is guaranteed by Kevenka, a producer working with local farmers around Mount Ijen in East Java. Meticulous cherry selection and multi-stage sorting combined with controlled drying allow them to achieve a consistent profile and highlight the natural sweetness of the coffee. This is an offering for those who appreciate full body, low acidity, and the combination of ripe fruits with a deep, chocolate character.Store in a cool and dry place.

Whole-bean specialty coffee from Kenya. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. In the cup, you can expect the hints of black currants, grapefruit, red currant, tea and brown sugar.Origin: KenyaRegion: KirinyagaFarm: Kiamutuira Washing Station / Mutira Cooperative SocietyVariety: SL28, SL34, BatianProcessing: WashedAltitude: 1650–1700 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE FARMKiamutuira is a factory (washing station) in the Kirinyaga region, belonging to the Mutira Cooperative Society. The factory itself has been operating since 1996, and the cooperative has been a part of Kenyan coffee history since 1951. The coffee comes from approximately 600 smallholders, with the average farm measuring just 0.1 ha. Small scale. Great precision. The crops are situated at an altitude of 1,650–1,700 meters above sea level, near the forest boundary of Mount Kenya. The soils are volcanic, and macadamia trees appear among the shade trees. Tea is also grown in the region, which reflects the climate of the area well: high, green, humid, with excellent conditions for the slow ripening of cherries. The coffee is processed using the washed method, so we expect cleanliness, high acidity, and classic Kenyan juiciness.ROASTER'S OPINIONThis is Kenya in a good, precise style. High acidity, plenty of juiciness, a clean profile, and that exact character you look for in Kirinyaga. Blackcurrant, citrus, tea. Zero randomness. A coffee like this does not need stories about magic. It needs a good recipe.Store in a dry and cool place.

On the palate, citrus remains at the forefront, but its intensity is softened and complemented by notes of plums and apples, creating a complex and harmonious profile. It is a light, tea-like coffee with low body and low, yet multidimensional acidity.
