ABOUT THE COFFEE

Rwanda Dorman Coproca is a natural-processed Red Bourbon that surprisingly closely resembles washed-processed coffees in its sensory profile. Fresh citrus notes dominate the aroma, accompanied by subtle cocoa accents. On the palate, citrus remains at the forefront, but its intensity is softened and complemented by notes of plums and apples, creating a complex and harmonious profile. It is a light, tea-like coffee with low body and low, yet multidimensional acidity. As a result, it remains subtle and very clear in perception, making the individual notes easy to pick up.Cherries are delivered to the Dorman Coproca washing station by just over 600 local farmers. The coffee comes from the Red Bourbon variety grown at an altitude of 1,830–1,950 m a.s.l., which is one of the key elements of its distinctive profile.

ROASTER'S OPINION

Rwanda Dorman Coproca is a natural-processed coffee that, in its sensory profile, definitely leans much closer to a washed coffee. The aroma is dominated by citrus broken up by fresh cocoa, and as it cools, the citrus notes become even more pronounced. The taste initially brings cocoa, which quickly gives way to a complex fruit profile. Here you will find notes of plums, lemon, and apple, combined with a citrus-apple acidity. The experience finishes with a long, tea-citrus aftertaste. The coffee has a low, slightly tea-like body, low yet complex acidity, and high, chocolatey sweetness. This is one of those naturals where you can easily forget every time that you are dealing with a natural-processed coffee.
