It is about 192 km away from Kigali, and coffee cherries from surrounding farms located at 1,500–1,900 meters are processed on site. The high altitude, volcanic mineral-rich soils, and around 1,356 mm of rainfall per year create excellent conditions for growing coffee.In 2026, Baho Coffee continues to make great use of the station's unique location by Lake Kivu. The delicate breeze from the lake and the gentle sun allow the coffee to dry slowly and evenly, resulting in a very clean, full, and intense flavor in the cup. This coffee is famous for its distinct, fresh acidity and complex fruity character. Black Honey is a processing method that enhances the fruity character of the bean.
