Teasome is a Polish brand of high-quality teas. The founders of the brand, Agata and Szymon, came up with the idea for Teasome on one of their tea trips to Taiwan. From the beginning, they decided to offer only natural, high quality teas, without unnecessary additives and artificial flavors. Teasome are authentic products that can be described as specialty quality leaf teas for home and cafes.

Powdered green tea by Teasome. At last we have a powdered hojicha for you! There’s no denying that everyone has already heard about matcha, but hojicha is now having its moment in the sun. Growing in popularity with western lovers of Japanese cuisine, the tea is perfect in a hojicha latte, in a tea-alternative to tiramisu or in a delicious ice cream.Our hojicha powder comes exclusively from high-grade sencha leaves that are subjected to a traditional sand-roasting and later, a very finely milling. Green tea by Teasome. Hojicha is a Japanese green tea that is produced in an unusual manner - it contains not only tea leaves, but primarily of chopped up roasted stems. The result is a tea with an original flavour that is reminiscent of freshly baked brown bread.The majority of hojicha on the western market is finely cut and strongly roasted. We, on the other hand, wanted to present you with something unique - a hojicha with long, lovely stems, subjected to a lighter sand roasting. This method goes back to the Edo period (17th - 19th centuries).The stems come from a spring harvest (sencha), whereas the leaves were from a second harvest (bancha). You can still see a distinct green reflection in them both. This tea has actually preserved a noticeable fresh green tea aftertaste, but the bready, woody, even mineral notes clearly dominate. White tea by Teasome. Ya Bao, meaning wild buds from a tea tree, comes from Yunnan, pu-erh’s homeland; here it’s possible to hear it frequently referred to as ‘white pu-erh’. However, this is not the tea’s only unique element. As its appearance suggests, this really is a one-of-a-kind tea.Ya Bao is primarily composed of dormant buds, which are picked at the very beginning of the calendar year after the Yunnan winter. These buds are firmly built and full of a crisp, resinous-piney aroma; in the future these buds would develop not into leaves, but into young branches. The famous oolong Da Hong Pao, also known as Big Red Robe, is a Chinese tea shrouded in many mysteries... and often poorly understood. And it's no wonder, as it has a truly convoluted history. The original mother bushes of this tea are probably the six most closely guarded tea bushes in the world. Olong GABA tea by Teasome. GABA teas are the result of a successful experiment with tea. Developed in the 1980s in Japan, they were designed to naturally produce the highest levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which has proven to have a beneficial effect on our nervous system. Some time later, it appeared that Taiwanese oolongs produced using this method tasted very delicious. An incidental, yet pleasant side-effect, right?The whole trick consists of anaerobic processing of freshly picked leaves, and then continuing the standard tea production process as normal. The GABA Oolong we have to offer is medium-oxidised and is delicately roasted, which retains a lot of natural sweetness. Oolong tea by Teasome. Jin Xuan, aka Golden Lily, is simply the translation of one of Taiwan’s most famous cultivars (numbered #12 in Taiwan). It is often coincidentally connected with Milk Oolong; a name we also had called it - however, it is absolutely not flavoured with milk! This would be against our philosophy, because at the end of the day, we only offer natural teas, and naturally flavoured teas.Here’s the thing - Jin Xuan is a unique, naturally sweet cultivar with characteristically milky-buttery notes. The most noble of Japanese teas. Gyokuro is sometimes described as “leafy matcha” because, like matcha, it is grown in darkness. For three weeks before harvest, the tea garden is covered with traditional jikagise mats. Each day, additional layers are added, eventually blocking as much as 94% of sunlight. As a result, the plants produce increased levels of caffeine, amino acids, and chlorophyll, which directly shape the character of the infusion. The leaves are smaller, but consequently far richer and more concentrated. Gyokuro has an intoxicatingly marine flavor, a strikingly vivid color, a heady aroma of green vegetables, and the depth of a rich broth. It is sweet, dense, and lightly saline. Teasome Moroccan Blend is the combination of gunpowder green tea and spearmint, traditionally found in hot, arid countries. For us here in Poland, we know how difficult it can be to find this kind of fresh mint, so we decided to create a blend of possibly the freshest dried mint, made from certified Egyptian cultivators.This mix is a great foundation for various drinks; whether that be a traditional, powerfully sweet Bedouin tea, or for a delicious western-style ice tea. Ruby #18 is a tea that is hard to compare to any other. Also known as Ruby Tea, it captivates with its unique piney, camphor-like aroma. Opening the package greets us with a distinctive menthol aroma of camphor and coniferous forest, while the infusion, with its deep ruby color, adds the sweetness of buckwheat honey and a slightly heavier spicy note. The overall experience is intense and, despite the many light, ethereal aromas, Ruby clearly shows the character of strong black teas from Assam. This is no coincidence. Amber Heart is a fermented shu pu-erh tea (ripe), where the typical earthiness is complemented by an unusual sweetness. The infusion is smooth and warming, with notes of wood and warming spices. Unlike “raw” sheng pu-erh, shu pu-erh is free of bitterness and gentle on the stomach. We named it Amber Heart because of the dark golden color of the infusion and the unusual shape of the leaves: small nuggets formed like hearts. This type of tea is known in China as Lao Cha Tou.During the production of shu pu-erh, the leaves are piled into heaps and sprayed with water to provide additional moisture that accelerates fermentation. Lao Cha Tou comes from the very bottom of these piles, where fermentation takes place in the highest humidity. Black tea by Teasome. Golden Monkey (Jin Hou) is one of the most popular red (‘’black’’) teas in Fujian province. The fine, tightly rolled leaves have distinct, golden glimmers, indicating the young buds and a single leaf were from an early spring harvest. This, of course, produces a quality brew; there’s a reason why you can find this tea with bulkier leaves in the majority of shops at a low price. It comes from the very birthplace of matcha, Kyoto Prefecture. It is also worth noting that it was ground just before being shipped from Japan to our warehouse, making it an exceptionally fresh product. Tencha, meaning the tea leaves used for matcha before grinding, comes from the first harvest and was shaded with covering mats for over three weeks prior to picking. Its flavor profile is further enhanced by the volcanic soils in which the tea bushes are grown.
