Teasome Ancient Ripe Pu-erh is a herbal loose-leaf tea. Ancient Ripe Pu-erh is a fermented tea with an earthy, mineral flavor. It is one of the most comfortable and warming teas, despite its strength the infusion never enters bitterness or astringency.
This pu-erh is made from gushu, or ancient trees that are at least a century old. The age of the tree has a profound effect on the tea; as the years pass, the leaves gain character, and the tree's roots reach farther back, drawing more minerality from the earth. In this case, the rocky aromas are also accompanied by a hint of black pepper.
