According to folk medicine, sleeping infusions should be drunk immediately before going to bed and always hot.Cold drink infusion: Add 2 tablespoons of herbs to boiling water (approx. 300 ml) and let it brew, covered, for 15 minutes. When the infusion has cooled down, drain the flowers, add a tablespoon of lemon juice and half a tablespoon of honey. Fill up to one liter with cold water. It sounds exotic, and that is exactly how it hits the nose.Given that two-thirds of the portion is tea, the dose can be increased to about 2.5–3 grams per 100 milliliters of water. The temperature should be around 80°C, with a brewing time of 2 minutes.The result is a strongly perfumed infusion, with candied tropical fruits in the foreground and a floral quality mixed with the “typical” green tea flavor in the background. Sweet and intense. On the plus side, there is no artificial, cloying aftertaste, the kind you get from eating aspartame with a spoon, which is characteristic of cheap blends.
