It brings together 160 small producers living in the Mbozi region, less than 70 km from the border with Zambia. Recently, in 2019, the cooperative built a central washing station, thanks to which all harvested cherries are processed on-site. Naturally, this boosted the quality of the final product and made exporting outside Tanzania easier – and as a result – increased the cooperative's profit.ABOUT THE PROCESSING OF COFFEE BEANS ON THE FARMThe Bourbon variety, hand-picked, is delivered on the same day to a small washing station owned by the cooperative. After the depulping process, which separates the seed from the fruit, it is sorted by bean size and then separately fermented in a tank for 10 hours. Washed and dried on raised beds for 10 days.ROASTER'S OPINIONOne could say that high-quality lots from Tanzania are a wonderful rescue that comes outside the fresh Kenya season. Jammy, fruity, and juicy. And that is exactly the case here. We are happy to put Itumpi into the roaster for another year in a row!Store in a cool and dry place.

COFFEE PLANT - Guatemala Arnadlo Lopez Natural Filter 250 g

Manufacturer: COFFEE PLANT

Roasting date: 27.07.2026

Whole-bean specialty coffee from Guatemala, roasted by COFFEE PLANT from Poland. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. You can expect hints of marzipan, dried apricot, blackberry and milk chocolate.Origin: GuatemalaRegion: Santa RosaFarma: Arnaldo Lopez FarmProcessing: NaturalVariety: Bourbon, Catuai, PacheAltitude: 1450-1980 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE FARMArnaldo López has been growing coffee from an early age. He gained his knowledge working with his father, and today he runs a 12.6-hectare farm, which is the main source of income for his family. Additional income is provided by cattle trading and a shop run by his wife, Alicia Trigueros.ABOUT THE PROCESSINGThe harvested cherries are taken to the Ayarza Cherry Mill in the Santa Rosa region, where they are centrally selected, fermented, and dried. As a result, the entire process takes place under strict control. The lot consists of the Bourbon, Catuai, Pache, and Anacafe 14 varieties grown at an altitude of 1,600–2,000 meters above sea level.Only fully ripe cherries from the highest parts of the plantation are selected for processing. They undergo anaerobic fermentation for 120 hours in sealed bags equipped with a carbon dioxide release valve. Next, they dry on a patio for about ten days, after which the process is finished in a mechanical dryer down to a moisture level of 11.5%.The combination of long fermentation and precise drying yields a coffee with a smooth, sweet character, in which fruity notes harmoniously blend with marzipan and milk chocolate.ROASTER'S OPINIONThis Guatemala proves that a long, 120-hour anaerobic fermentation does not have to mean an intensely fermentative, dominant profile. Instead, it offers exceptional balance, a velvety texture, and a distinct, natural sweetness that makes every cup remarkably enjoyable and harmonious.Notes of almond marzipan and dried apricots emerge in the foreground, creating a warm, dessert-like base. They are accompanied by juicy blackberries that bring a fruity freshness, while creamy milk chocolate rounds out the whole profile, leaving a long, sweet finish. The flavors intertwine smoothly, creating a complex yet very approachable profile. This is an anaerobic natural with an elegant character – full of depth, yet free from excessive fermentativeness. It delights with its creamy structure, multidimensional sweetness, and excellent balance, making every subsequent sip a pleasure to return to.Store in a cool, dry place.

The variety most commonly called "Bourbon" here is not the same as that type that is better-known in Central and South America: Coffees called "Bourbon" colloquially in Ethiopia are typical coffee-berry-disease-resistant cultivars.Coffees in Ethiopia are typically grown on very small plots of land by farmers who also grow other crops. The majority of smallholders will deliver their coffee in cherry to a nearby washing station or central processing unit, where their coffee will be sorted, weighed, and paid for or given a receipt. Coffee is then processed, usually washed or natural, by the washing station and dried on raised beds. The washing stations serve as many as several hundred to sometimes a thousand or more producers, who deliver cherry throughout the harvest season: The blending of these cherries into day lots makes it virtually impossible under normal circumstances to know precisely whose coffee winds up in which bags on what day, making traceability to the producer difficult. Typically farmers in this region don't have access to and therefore do not utilize fertilizers or pesticides in the production of coffee. ROASTERA clean, elegant, and floral natural Ethiopia. Complex, yet very easy for daily brewing and drinking.RECIPE V6016g of coffee250g of water 96°CMedium Grind Size 1. Put a paper filter in your V60 and rinse it with hot water ( 96C ). Cupping score: 87 / 100ABOUT THE COFFEEWe love the large beans of the Pacamara varietal for their superb complexity. In the cup, expect refined fruit notes like red apple, and plum, alongside rooibos and milk chocolate. The body is silky, with honey-like sweetness.ABOUT THE FARMGilberto Baraona was a shining beacon of the coffee industry in El Salvador. Over many years, he worked relentlessly to explore the possibilities of production, with a varietal programme that many dream of: the nursery that Gilberto developed hosts over 70 distinct coffee cultivars. Now in the trusted hands of his son, Diego, Los Pirineos continues to deliver the unexpected. At 1400 metres above sea level, Los Pirineos sits on volcanic slopes amongst lush forest. The microclimate around the volcano provides sun-filled days and cool breezes that are ideal for growing and drying. In the drying area of the farm, raised beds are positioned between two peaks which consistently channel the wind across the drying coffee. With twelve hours of sun per day, this creates an ideal environment for Honey and Natural processing. Quality and responsibility are central to the way Diego works. All the water used in processing is from collected rain, and bees are kept on the farm to help pollination across the farm and surrounding forest. With more than 60 employees, Diego ensures year round employment on projects across the farm.ABOUT THE PROCESSOur Pacamara lot underwent Black Honey processing. After harvest, ripe cherries are pulped but almost all of the mucilage is left intact. The pulped coffee is then spread in a thin layer on shaded raised drying beds. The shade slows the drying process compared to the other Honey processes used on the farm. Coffee is dried for approximately 25 days until it reaches ideal humidity and the mucilage has turned sticky and black, giving the process its name.ROASTER'S NOTEIn a stunning volcanic landscape, fifth generation producer Diego continues the work of his father. Matching the Pacamara varietal with Black Honey processing delivers elegant fruit and silky sweetness.Store in a cold and dry space.
