Lavender flowers have a lot of essential oils, the fragrance of which is emitted by gently squeezing the flowers. It is a great base for infusions and herbal lemonades. Lavender is also used as a spice in the kitchen. According to folk medicine, drinking lavender calms down, relieves nervous tension and makes it easier to fall asleep. It helps with inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and proper digestion.
