Teasome - Genmaicha Yamabuki - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Genmaicha Yamabuki by Teasome. Genmaicha is a popular Japanese green tea that is blended half and half with roasted rice. It works well as an everyday tea and the Japanese often drink it after hearty meals. Roasted Japanese Hokkaido rice perfectly compliments a classic sencha, giving the brew depth and character.Wait, wait… sencha? That’s right. However, the most common genmaicha is the blend of rice and bancha (second flush tea), which is usually not very high quality. However, in this case we are dealing with our Sencha Yamabuki, which is a fresh first flush tea. As a result, this tea is a genuine exception on the market. The rice doesn’t mask the weak quality leaves but rather it enriches them with roasty, grainy notes.Origin: Kagoshina (tea), Hokkaido (rice), JapanCultivar: Yabukita/Asanoka

Teasome - Sencha Yamabuki - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Green Tea by Teasome. A high-quality sencha at a great price straight from the Kagoshima Prefecture. The glistening dark leaves create a clear brew with a bright green hue. A diverse set of flavours hide within them – from blanched green vegetables, through to roasted nuts, and finally a flavour akin to a salty bouillon. This a surprising combination as this tea is not only taken from Yabukita bushes, but a large proportion of the leaves come from the new Asanoka cultivar (invented in the 1990s).We are delighted that we are able to have this tea in our selection. It is difficult to get a better price to quality ratio, especially when you take care to get teas of certified Japanese cultivation. Teasome - Spring Tips - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Green tea by Teasome. Spring Tips is our offer for admirers of the most traditional Chinese green teas. This spring tea is simultaneously very complicated, and yet quite simple and approachable. Its complexity lies primarily in its sophisticated flavour. The fresh flowers that dominate the aroma of the leaves give way to vegetal-fruity flavours during the first brew. All three blend brilliantly into a single entity, as seen in the classic example of Mao Jian tea (as it is known in China). The tea is also very approachable and undemanding. Anyone who is fond of traditional green teas will also definitely appreciate Spring Tips. The tea’s character is very subdued and never strays into any extremes. Perfect as an everyday, favourite green tea.Origin: Hunan, ChinaCultivar: Fuding Xiao KeProfile: fresh flowers, green veggies, honeydew melonHow to brew:5g tea / 250ml water / 80°C temp.First brew: 2 min / Second brew: 3 min / Third brew: 5 minCold brew: 10g tea / 1000ml cold water. Teasome - Golden Monkey - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Black tea by Teasome. Golden Monkey (Jin Hou) is one of the most popular red (‘’black’’) teas in Fujian province. The fine, tightly rolled leaves have distinct, golden glimmers, indicating the young buds and a single leaf were from an early spring harvest. This, of course, produces a quality brew; there’s a reason why you can find this tea with bulkier leaves in the majority of shops at a low price. Only a fresh, spring Golden Monkey however demonstrates its true nature - deep cocoa, peppery-mustard notes and an incredible leaf to serving ratio.Perhaps you are wondering why exactly a handful of leaves are named Golden Monkey? The secret lies, as always, in the combination of Chinese imagination and the tea’s appearance. Fine, supple black-golden leaves are covered in a thick fluff that is somewhat reminiscent of little furry animals.Origin: Fujian, ChinaCultivar: Jin Guan YinProfile: cocoa, buckwheat honey, nutmeg. How to brew:European style:5g tea / 250ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 2 min / Second brew: 3 min / Third brew: 5 minGongfu style:5g tea/ 100ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 10s. / Second brew: 10s. / Third brew: 10s. / Fourth brew: 15s. / every next brew - a little longer.Cold brew:

The leaves often leave much to be desired. This Earl Grey Natural is proud of its young, full leaves and golden tips. The Yunnan Golden Tips with their incredible authentic aroma of fresh bergamot cannot be replicated. Teasome - Ya Bao Wild Buds - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

White tea by Teasome. Ya Bao, meaning wild buds from a tea tree, comes from Yunnan, pu-erh’s homeland; here it’s possible to hear it frequently referred to as ‘white pu-erh’. However, this is not the tea’s only unique element. As its appearance suggests, this really is a one-of-a-kind tea.Ya Bao is primarily composed of dormant buds, which are picked at the very beginning of the calendar year after the Yunnan winter. These buds are firmly built and full of a crisp, resinous-piney aroma; in the future these buds would develop not into leaves, but into young branches. Their appearance is a real preview of spring. It’s actually hard to talk about this tea like it’s a typical brew. Its history and appearance are completely different to all other teas; the same can be said for its taste. It’s endlessly pleasant, the sweet flavour is associated with the aroma of resin, hops, pine, with the delicate fruitiness of apricots or peaches biting through. The brew never becomes bitter, even after sitting in boiling water for several minutes. Buds soaked overnight in cold water produce an exquisite cold brew.Origin: Yunnan, ChinaCultivar: Yunnan Da YeProfile: peach, resin, pine needlesHow to brew:European style:5g tea / 250ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 5 min / Second brew: 10 minGongfu style:5g tea / 100ml water / teamp. 95°C Firts brew: 30s. / Second brew: 20s. / Third brew: 30s. / Fourth brew: 45s. / every next brew - a little longerCold brew: 15g tea / 1000ml cold water (5°C ). Teasome - Golden Tips - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Black tea by Teasome. Golden Tips is a perfect example of a classic Yunnan black tea. Early spring harvests full of young leaves and tiny, golden coloured buds guarantees a complex but very approachable flavour. Within this tea we find characteristic honey notes, but also flavours closer to fruit, such as dates or peaches. A perfect choice for fans of sweeter, traditional black teas. Before brewing, the aroma of the leaves alone heralds the ‘’dessertiness’ of Golden Tips. Fittingly for teas from Yunnan, the leaves are bigger than those found in the majority of other teas. The amount of potential infusions is also larger. It’s worth allowing the golden tips to demonstrate its character at least a few times!Origin: Yunnan, ChinaCultivar: Yunnan Da YeProfile: date molasses, peach, chokeberry. How to brew it:European style:5g tea / 250ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 2 min / Second brew: 3 min / Third brew: 4 minGongfu style:5g tea / 100ml water/ 95°C temp.First brew: 30s. / Second brew: 15s. / Third brew: 30s. / Fourth brew: 40s. / every next brew - a little longer.Cold brew: 10g tea / 1000ml cold water. Teasome - Hojicha Powder - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Powdered green tea by Teasome. At last we have a powdered hojicha for you! There’s no denying that everyone has already heard about matcha, but hojicha is now having its moment in the sun. Growing in popularity with western lovers of Japanese cuisine, the tea is perfect in a hojicha latte, in a tea-alternative to tiramisu or in a delicious ice cream. Our hojicha powder comes exclusively from high-grade sencha leaves that are subjected to a traditional sand-roasting and later, a very finely milling. It retains its aroma even after baking and gives baked-goods the unique flavour of roasted tea, reminiscent of caramel and nuts.We like to experiment, so we also prepared quite a few recipes with hojicha powder - for example, why not check out Hojicha Mochi brownie! How to brew:Hojicha latte:2 g of powder / 250 ml of your favorite milkAdd the hojicha powder to a tall glass, pour in hot milk, and stir vigorously until fully dissolved (to prevent lumps from forming, first dissolve the powder in a small amount of warm water).Ingredients: powdered green tea
Teasome - Hojicha Sand Roasted - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Green tea by Teasome. Hojicha is a Japanese green tea that is produced in an unusual manner - it contains not only tea leaves, but primarily of chopped up roasted stems. The result is a tea with an original flavour that is reminiscent of freshly baked brown bread. The majority of hojicha on the western market is finely cut and strongly roasted. We, on the other hand, wanted to present you with something unique - a hojicha with long, lovely stems, subjected to a lighter sand roasting. This method goes back to the Edo period (17th - 19th centuries). The stems come from a spring harvest (sencha), whereas the leaves were from a second harvest (bancha). You can still see a distinct green reflection in them both. This tea has actually preserved a noticeable fresh green tea aftertaste, but the bready, woody, even mineral notes clearly dominate. Hojicha is often drunk after meals and also in the evenings as it contains a lot less caffeine than leafy teas.Origin: Kyoto, JapanCultivar: mixedProfile: well-baked bread, hazelnut, black currant. How to brew:European style:5g tea / 250ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 2 min / Second brew: 3 min / Third brew: 5 minJapan style: 3g tea / 100ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 40s. / Second brew: 5s. Teasome - Jasmine Green - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Green tea by Teasome. Jasmine Green is the most common high quality jasmine tea. It is the first spring leaves of a young Guangxi green tea with the powerful aroma of jasmine flowers. The natural process of flavouring this tea lies in spacing the leaves on a wide bamboo tray and arranging them in alternating vertical stacks with trays full of freshly cut jasmine buds. During the night, the flowers open up and release their aroma, which enters into the tea. The following day they are replaced with new buds. Our Jasmine Green were flavoured this way as many as 3 times! However, the main aspect of jasmine tea is not just the natural flavouring process, but the leaves themselves. Our tea’s leaves are from a high-altitude ao Feng green tea, which has a gentle, fresh taste. The flavouring process took place in early summer, after which the tea was immediately vacuum-packed and sent over. Therefore, we can guarantee that it will be hard to find another fresh jasmine tea like this one.Origin: Guangxi, ChinaCultivar: Bai MaoProfile: jasmine, jasmine, jasmine! How to brew:4g tea / 250ml water / 80°C temp.First brew: 2 min / Second brew: 3 min / Third brew: 5 minCold brew: 10g tea / 1000ml cold water. Teasome - GABA Oolong - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Olong GABA tea by Teasome. GABA teas are the result of a successful experiment with tea. Developed in the 1980s in Japan, they were designed to naturally produce the highest levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which has proven to have a beneficial effect on our nervous system. Some time later, it appeared that Taiwanese oolongs produced using this method tasted very delicious. An incidental, yet pleasant side-effect, right? The whole trick consists of anaerobic processing of freshly picked leaves, and then continuing the standard tea production process as normal. The GABA Oolong we have to offer is medium-oxidised and is delicately roasted, which retains a lot of natural sweetness. You can find the sweetness of watermelon, strawberries and forest fruits, but also of maple syrup or linden honey. There is a reason why these teas have become incredibly popular in recent years.Origin: Nantou, TaiwanCultivar: Qing Xin, Bai Lu (#17)Profile: strawberry, watermelon, maple syrupHow to brew:European style:5g tea / 250ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 2 min / Second brew: 3 min / Third brew: 5 min.Gongfu style:5-6g tea / 100ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 50 s. / Second brew: 60 s. / Third brew: 75 s. / multiply every 15 s. for 6-7 brews.Cold brew: 10g tea / 1000ml cold water. Teasome Moroccan Blend is the combination of gunpowder green tea and spearmint,  traditionally found in hot, arid countries. For us here in Poland, we know how difficult it can be to find this kind of fresh mint, so we decided to create a blend of possibly the freshest dried mint, made from certified Egyptian cultivators. This mix is a great foundation for various drinks; whether that be a traditional, powerfully sweet Bedouin tea, or for a delicious western-style ice tea. It also makes for a great drink after a hearty meal - after all we are talking about mint! Have fun experimenting!Origin: Egipt/China.How to brew:5g tea / 250ml water / 80°C temp.Steep for at least 5–10 minutes, then add a generous amount of sugar to taste.Cold brew: 10g tea / 1000ml cold water. Leave in the fridge for 12 hours and stir well.Ingredients: green tea (67%), green mint (33%).
Teasome - Matcha Keiki - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Matcha by Teasome. Matcha Keiki is our offer for fans of Japanese sweets. A great quantity of freshly ground, second flush green tea with its sweet aroma is a perfect fit for all baked goods and delicious matcha lattes, giving them not only a characteristic tea flavour but also a powerful green colour. We also checked how Matcha Keiki tastes when prepared just with water and we were honestly amazed. At this price, it is difficult to find an equally balanced matcha, without a distinct bitterness, with a pleasant nuttiness and umami notes.Origin: Kagoshima, JapanCultivar: blendHow to brew: Usucha style:1.6g matcha / 70ml water / 75-80°CSoak the chasen (bamboo whisk) bristles in warm water for about 30 seconds. It is recommended to sift the matcha through a sieve directly into the chawan (a large tea bowl) to prevent clumping.Add water and stir with the chasen 4 to 5 times using a vigorous circular motion along the bottom of the bowl to set the powder in motion, then for about 30 seconds whisk energetically in a “W” shape back and forth along the bottom. Finally, lightly glide the chasen over the surface of the tea to gently break up any excess foam.Iced matcha latte:2g matcha / 30ml water / 3/4 cup of milk / 75-80°CPrepare the matcha using a chasen (as described above), then pour it into a tall 250 ml glass filled with ice cubes and top up with cold milk.Ingredients: matcha.
Teasome - Golden Lily Oolong - Loose Tea 50g

Manufacturer: TEASOME

Oolong tea by Teasome. Jin Xuan, aka Golden Lily, is simply the translation of one of Taiwan’s most famous cultivars (numbered #12 in Taiwan). It is often coincidentally connected with Milk Oolong; a name we also had called it - however, it is absolutely not flavoured with milk! This would be against our philosophy, because at the end of the day, we only offer natural teas, and naturally flavoured teas. Here’s the thing - Jin Xuan is a unique, naturally sweet cultivar with characteristically milky-buttery notes. Perhaps it’s hard to believe, but the tea leaves really do smell and taste similar to sweet milk! There are also floral notes, like lilies or rose petals. It’s not surprising that despite being a young cultivar, it has quickly gained a huge following in Taiwan.Milk Oolong, which is becoming more and more popular in the West, is most often a low grade tea treated with artificial flavourings, in an attempt to make a flavour that strongly reminds us of milk. We, however, suggest going to the source and discovering the natural sweetness of Golden Lily, which openly and uninhibitedly invites you to see the rich world of Taiwanese oolongsOrigin: Jiayi, TaiwanCultivar: Jin Xuan (#12)Profile: milk, honey, lilies. How to brew:European style:5g tea / 250ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 1,5 min / Second brew: 2 min / Third brew: 3 min.Gongfu style:5-6g tea / 100ml water / 95°C temp.First brew: 50 s. / Second brew: 60 s. / Third brew: 75 s. / multiply every 15 s. for 6-7 brews.Cold brew: 10g tea / 1000ml cold water.
