Gilmer Mejia runs the beautiful farm Finca Ecológica Agua Colorada, which his father, Filadelpo Cordova Mejia, acquired in 1990 for coffee cultivation. It is a 7-hectare plot, of which 4 hectares are planted with Caturra and other popular varieties. Wilmer ensures that all his coffees are hand-harvested when fully ripe, maturing under the shade of naturally occurring trees. He uses compost and guano to fertilize the farm and applies no herbicides. Gilmer is a young, innovative producer who is committed to quality and passionately cares for it at every stage — from farm management to the final taste in the cup.
