The ORIGAMI wave filter features a small wave angle, perfectly matched to the 20 ribs characteristic of ORIGAMI drippers.
Matching the ribs of the dripper with the paper filter narrows the gap between the dripper and the filter, preventing hot water from leaking down the sides. The result is high extraction efficiency and an intense flavour, even with short brewing times. Because hot water is evenly filtered through the ground coffee, the brewed coffee is sweet and full-bodied, with fewer impurities.
Compared to conical drippers, a wave dripper creates a thinner bed of ground coffee. This means hot water passes through the coffee more quickly, achieving a similar level of extraction in both the upper and lower layers, which results in a more even and consistent brew.
