"Cake" type filters – waved, with a flat bottom – are the standard for flat-bottom drippers. The flat bottom spreads the coffee bed evenly and reduces the risk of channeling, while the ribbed walls maintain the filter's shape throughout the extraction: the paper does not stick to the dripper wall, so water flows freely, and consecutive brews are more repeatable. The result in the cup is more balanced than with conical filters.
The paper is made of food-grade natural wood fiber. It is strong enough to hold its structure with larger doses, and biodegradable – after brewing, it is disposed of together with the grounds. Size 185 is designed for 3-4 people. The package contains 50 pieces.
