ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Cascara is simply the dried skin of the coffee cherry. In coffee production, it’s a by-product that can end up in compost, but it has a much tastier use too: you can brew a really delicious drink from it.
When we came across cascara from Hacienda Sonora, we all agreed it tasted exactly like Grandma’s summer fruit compote. The kind that’s still warm, just taken off the stove, full of apples, pears, and plums. That’s why we wrote the flavour profile exactly that way.
You can brew it like tea, in a French press, or cold. It also works brilliantly as a base for refreshing drinks. Oh, one more thing: compared with coffee, cascara contains very little caffeine.
Store in a cold and dry space.
