1 Time: The maximum elapsed time is 59 minutes and 59 seconds (59:59).

2 Flow Rate: The current pour rate, displayed in grams per second.

3 Weight: Shows weights up to 2kg.

4 Ratio: Can be turned on or off in both Regular and Pourover modes.

5 Battery indicator: Displays the approximate charge remaining.

By default, Basic 3 uses grams for weight measurements. Quick press the Tare button 6 times to toggle between units.

HOW TO USE

Using the Ratio Function: After turning on the scale, place your pourover equipment on the platform and rinse the coffee filter. Then, press the Tare button to reset the weight to zero. Long-press the Ratio button to activate the coffee-to-water ratio display.

1.Turn on the scale. Place your gear, rinse the filter, and press the Tare button. Long-press the Ratio button to activate the coffee-to-water ratio display.

2.Add ground coffee. Press the Ratio button to record coffee weight. The Ratio display blinks three times, then shows 1:0.0. Weight resets to 0.

3.You are now ready to begin brewing. Press the Timer button to start the timer, short-press it pause, long-press to reset it.

4. During brewing, the ratio display will update in real time based on the amount of water added.

Pourover Mode: In Pourover mode, long-press the Ratio button to activate the coffee-to-water ratio function.

1.Slide the side switch towards the M to enter Pourover mode. The Pourover Z icon will appear.

2.Place brew gear and coffee. Short-press the Timer button to start a 3 second countdown.

3.After the countdown, the timer will show [ --:-- ] and the weight will reset to [0.0]. Once you begin pouring, the scale will start the timer. Note: To account for the bloom, the timer will only stop automatically if the brew lasts more than 40 seconds.

4.If you place the brewing equip- ment back on the scale after a short break, short-press the Timer button once to resume timing and weighing. Press it again to pause. Long-press the Timer button to reset the display and start a new pourover session.

Espresso Mode: In Espresso mode, the scale will automatically wake from standby when it detects a weight change greater than 50g.

Note: The Ratio function is disabled in Espresso mode.

1.Slide the side switch towards the M to enter Espresso mode. The Espresso 9 icon will appear, and the timer area will display: ESP.

2.After 1 second, the scale is ready to use. Place your cup on the platform. Once detected, the scale will automatically tare.

3.When a steady espresso flow is detected, the timer starts automatically, displaying weight, time, and flow rate in real time.

4.When the brew is complete, remove the cup to stop the timer. The final values will blink on the display. Place the cup or wait 10 seconds for the scale to automatically reset.

NOTICE:

1. Use Basic 3 on a flat and stable surface.

2. Use the included silicone pad to protect the surface of Basic 3 and its internal components from heat.

3. Avoid fully depleting the battery. If Basic 3 detects that its battery is fully depleted, it may require a low-current charge via a computer USB port before a standard adapter can be used.

4. Using Basic 3 while charging may result in decreased accuracy.

5. When the timer is not activated, Basic 3 will idle for three minutes before entering standby mode. When the timer is activated, Basic 3 will idle for up to fifteen minutes before entering standby mode.

6. To minimize the risk of water damage, avoid allowing liquid to enter the charging port or any gaps in the scale body.

7. Basic 3 is calibrated to exact specifications. Unauthorized disassembly may compromise its reliability and usability.

8. Basic 3 comes with a limited one-year manufacturer's warranty. warranty does not cover damage caused by wear and tear or attempts to disassemble the device.

9. Basic 3 was designed to brew great coffee. It is not intended for trade or commercial use.
