Nginda Estate is a small, family-owned farm located in Embu County, named after both the region and the matriarch of the Ndwiga family, Wanginda. This AA lot was grown at high elevation and produced from pure SL28, handpicked and meticulously processed in partnership with Peter Mbature of Kamavindi Estate.
Cherries underwent double fermentation in clean tanks, followed by intermediate washing and extended soaking. The parchment was then slowly dried in stages—first under shade, then on raised beds—achieving optimal moisture for clarity and stability.
The result is a refined and structured washed Kenya, with vivid notes of red currant, orange zest, dried apricot, and a honeyed sweetness. Its softness and clarity reflect both the precision of its processing and the elegance of Embu’s high-altitude terroir."
