A speciality coffee roastery from Antwerp, Belgium. The main concept behind Caffenation is to roast only the highest quality beans, with complex flavours and known origin. Coffee is roasted in small portions, allowing clients to always have the access to freshly roasted beans. Caffenation offers beans from various plantations all around the world, intended for different brewing methods.

This creates a dilemma for producers, who must navigate the risks and uncertainties associated with this method of production.However, despite the challenges, Juan continues to produce exceptional natural coffees year after year. The quality of his coffee is so outstanding that we gladly pay a premium well above the FNC or Fairtrade prices.Store in a dry and cool place.

He started to renew the coffee trees and remove the eucalyptus that was planted because these trees are known to undermine the land.Leonid’s journey in coffee was very challenging. Even though coffee production wasn’t very profitable in the beginning, he knew that coffee was the future for his family. So, he started to invest in better farming practices and work with Specialty Coffee. He started participating with his coffee in various coffee auctions where his coffee was always one of the favourites.In 2016, Cofinet began a relationship with Leonid. Leonid is grateful for the guidance Cofinet has provided in the production of Specialty Coffee.

Then, suddenly, it disappeared from our radar and we lost the chance to buy it again—until this harvest, twelve years later, when we cupped an exceptional Peaberry lot at the headquarters of Kenyacof in Nairobi.Guama takes its name from the village where it is grown, located on the western side of Kirinyaga, about 3 km from Kianyaga town, in the southern foothills of Mount Kenya at an altitude of 1,750 meters above sea level. Fermentation was carried out using only fresh river water from the Kaboyo River.This is a washed coffee grown in rich volcanic soil, with a classic Kenyan variety mix of SL34 and SL28—textbook quality in every sense.
