The green rooibos comes from the same plant as the red rooibos, it differs only in the way the leaves are processed after harvest. Green rooibos is not fermented, so its infusion is lighter, with hints of citrus.
The infusion is golden in colour, with a distinctive and spicy aroma. Thanks to the presence of red and white pepper and ginger, the taste of the brew is slightly spicy, but leaves some sweetness on the tongue. You can infuse it twice, with longer second brewing. The taste of the next infusion becomes milder, with notes of vanilla and lemon.
Due to its spicy taste, it works very well in the fall and winter season. For warmer days, we recommend cold brewing - the brew prepared in this way will be very refreshing!
