Green tea has ideal growing conditions there thanks to abundant rainfall, well-sunlit hills, and the mists that form between them, protecting the delicate tea leaves from frost. The tea bushes from which Moya Matcha is harvested are carefully cultivated on small, family-owned farms free from pesticides.Bamboo whisk – chasenA traditional Japanese whisk for frothing matcha tea. The whisk is made from a single piece of bamboo, where precise cuts and careful binding with cotton string create fine prongs. When shaped properly, they produce a jade-like foam while whisking matcha. Using the chasen, you whisk in the bowl with W- or M-shaped motions. This allows the matcha to blend thoroughly with water, creating a suspension, while a thin foam layer forms on the tea’s surface. Perfect frothing is possible thanks to the flexible bamboo bristles of the chasen. These bristles are gently curved at the bottom, gathered together at the top, and finished with a special wooden handle.
