Caturra contributed to the intensification of coffee cultivation, particularly in Central America, where it was introduced to cultivation in the 1940s. This variety also played a significant role in breeding coffee trees resistant to coffee leaf rust, contributing to the creation of the "Catimor" family of varieties. The Red Caturra variety is characterized by an intense aroma and a rich flavor profile. On the other hand, Yellow Caturra is a subtle coffee variety with bright, yellow beans. It is characterized by a mild flavor profile.ABOUT THE PROCESSINGSugarcane is a unique type of fermentation resulting in more intense fruity notes.
