This region is famous for producing coffees of exceptional quality, which is influenced by fertile soils, a tropical climate, and high-altitude plantations, often exceeding 2,000 meters above sea level. Due to the altitude of the crops, local coffees are classified as SHG (Strictly High Grown) or SHB (Strictly Hard Bean). This means that the cherries ripen more slowly, allowing the plants to deliver nutrients to the beans for a longer period.
