ABOUT THE COFFEE

Coffees as exceptional as this one are truly rare. The farm specializes in highly unconventional, modern processing methods, embracing bold experimentation that consistently delivers surprising results. It takes both courage and creativity to introduce projects like “Spirit” into the coffee world.

This lot comes from an experimental process in which, after depulping, the beans were fermented in juice (mosto) pressed from the same cherries. As a result, the coffee developed a unique character, marked by high sweetness and a striking aroma. We were able to bring out the full depth and complexity of these beans

ABOUT THE FARM

Los Nogales Farm is a family-owned coffee plantation in Colombia. The current face of this multi-generational business is Oscar Hernandez. The farm is located in the mountainous Huila region, near the town of Bruselas in the southern part of the department.

Oscar is both inventive and charismatic, driven by the idea of producing the highest-quality specialty coffee in Colombia — and this lot clearly proves that vision.

In 2006, Oscar’s father, Ricaurte Hernandez, won the Colombian Cup of Excellence. Thanks to this major achievement, the farm became synonymous with top-tier quality. Oscar continues this tradition, and under his leadership, Los Nogales has become a center of innovation and knowledge for proactive farmers throughout the region.
