As a result, the coffee retains its organoleptic properties, comparable to regular coffee. Kawa Arcaffe - historia
W 1893 Antonio Meschini przybył do Livorno ze Szwajcarii i rozpoczął pracę jako magazynier w Caffè Corradini. Dwa lata później dołączył do niego jego brat Luigi, który otworzył sklep spożywczy w Ardenza.
W 1926 roku Francesco Meschini, jego syn, przygotował specjalną mieszankę kawy wyłącznie dla słynnej Cafe Bar Roma, znajdującej się na centralnym placu w Livorno. W 1945 roku, wkrótce po zakończeniu II wojny światowej, powstała nowa spółka o nazwie ARCAF (akronim od Aziende Riunite Coloniali Alimentari ed AFFINI). Jednak ludzie z Livorno mają trudności z wymawianiem słów kończących się spółgłoskami zatem "ARCAF" stało się "Arcàffe". I tak ówczesny właściciel w 1947 roku zdecydował się na zmianę nazwy spółki. Jest to prawdopodobnie jeden z niewielu przypadków gdy nazwa spółki nie została wybrana przez właściciela, ale bezpośrednio przez ludzi.
Podobnie jak 80% zabytkowego centrum Livorno w czasie II wojny światowej, Bar Roma został zniszczony i firma zdecydowała się nazwać tak samo swój najlepszy produkt: mieszankę „Roma”. W 1949 Mokacrema, inna specjalna mieszanka, została stworzona aby pokazać, że Arcaffè utrzymuje politykę jakości i doskonalenia się. W 1996 Arcaffè założyło CSC Italy (Certified Speciality Coffee Association), potwierdzając że Arcaffè to konsorcjum z wysokiej jakości kawą.
