OROMATCHA offers a matcha distinguished by its nutty flavor notes, hints of dark chocolate, a sweet finish, and a clearly pronounced umami character. Why a blend?A blend combines two or more tea varieties that complement each other’s characteristics. To create such a blend, the tea masters working with OROMATCHA taste leaves from various plantations and regions, selecting those that best contribute to the desired flavor, aroma, and color. This process enhances and stabilizes the flavor profile of the matcha. It allows the creation of consistent blends year after year, despite natural seasonal variations. The blend can highlight certain flavor notes while softening others, much like a painter mixing pigments to achieve the perfect shade for a vivid sunset. Similarly, a tea master designs a profile that engages multiple senses: taste, mouthfeel, aroma, vibrancy, and the way these elements evolve over time. This art requires years of training, learning, and experience.Tea blending is a craft that the masters collaborating with OROMATCHA refine over many years under the guidance of seasoned mentors. Just as in the worlds of wine or coffee, it is a highly specialized practice, and some tea masters have been studying it since childhood.

The whisk is made from a single piece of bamboo, where precise cuts and careful binding with cotton string create delicate prongs. When properly shaped, they produce a jade-like foam while whisking matcha. Using the chasen, you whisk in the bowl with W- or M-shaped motions. This allows the matcha to blend thoroughly with water into a suspension, while a thin layer of foam forms on the tea’s surface. Perfect frothing is possible thanks to the flexible bamboo bristles of the chasen. These bristles are gently curved at the bottom, gathered together at the top, and finished with a special wooden handle.

FAQ – Matcha w 2026 roku

  •  kraj i region pochodzenia (najczęściej Japonia, np. Uji, Kagoshima),
