ABOUT THE FARM
The family farm Patio Bonito was founded by Carlos Arturo Trujillo, who has been involved in coffee cultivation for nearly 50 years. Currently, he is assisted in running the farm by his daughter Paola, who previously worked as a taster and coffee buyer in the Nariño and Huila departments for an export company. Upon returning to the plantation in 2022, she introduced innovative changes to the processing methods of washed and natural coffees, including the use of "thermal shock" and anaerobic fermentation in the production processes.
Fun fact:According to the Trujillo family, all activities at Patio Bonito are based on three core values: food security, soil protection and management, and coffee cultivation. They summarize their life philosophy as follows: "The best legacy we can leave to our children is: love, knowledge, and a planet on which to live."
