Cachoeira is different from the classic green yerba mate because, immediately after cleaning and drying (drying takes place without smoke and without contact with fire), it has been maturing in a dry airy place for about 6 months, which gave it an interesting straw flawour and slightly yellowish color.
This yerba is a little more delicate than its classical counterpart and that is why it is well suited for beginners as well as those seeking new and interesting flavours. Cachoeira consists only of the highest quality crushed leaves without any dust or twigs.
"Cachoeira" comes from the Portuguese wording which means waterfall. It is also the name of a city on the island surrounded by the arms of the Paraguaçu river.
