Whole-bean specialty coffee from Kenya, roasted in Wrocław by Figa Coffee. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. In taste you can expect hints of black currant, red grapefruit and caramel.

ABOUT THE FARM
The Karindundu factory is located in the lower part of Mount Kenya, one kilometer from the town of Karatina. It serves a total of 513 active farmers (349 men and 164 women), each owning on average 300 coffee trees and about 0.5 acres of land. In addition to coffee, farmers near their plantations also grow macadamia nuts, bananas, and maize. Karindundu supports farmers by advising them on practices such as using organic fertilizers and pruning their plants. The station also operates a demonstration plot where these methods can be observed in practice.
Fun fact: After harvesting ripe coffee cherries, farmers deliver them to Karindundu, where they undergo a traditional washed process. The coffee is depulped, fermented overnight, washed, and then placed on raised drying beds, where it dries until it reaches the desired moisture level.
