Manhattan Coffee Roasters is a Dutch roastery driven by a passion for exceptional coffee. It was founded by Ben Morrow and Esther Maasdam, two industry experts with over 30 years of combined experience and numerous prestigious competition titles to their names. Their mission is to source and roast the finest coffees in collaboration with producers who prioritize quality and sustainability.
Established in 2017 in Rotterdam, the roastery draws inspiration from the city's rich history and its maritime connections to New York. Locally known as "Manhattan aan de Maas," Manhattan Coffee Roasters blends passion, craftsmanship, and tradition, offering coffees that transcend borders and bring people together worldwide.

He receives both wet and dry parchment and operates a mechanical dryer on site. When parchment is delivered, he checks the quality, weighs the bag, and agrees on a price. He then pays the farmer immediately in cash and provides a new empty bag for refilling. Joseel has been working with Racafe for over 23 years and sells exclusively to Luis Fernando, Racafe’s manager in Bogotá. Each delivery consists of approximately 10,000–13,000 kg of coffee.Due to climate change, production has dropped dramatically in recent years, making it even more important to increase revenue despite lower yields. Coffee production in Viani has decreased by 50% compared to two years ago. Rainfall has nearly doubled, with rain occurring almost every day during the season. While rain is essential for plant growth, coffee trees require 2–3 weeks of consistent sunshine without rainfall.
