ABOUT THE FARM

Rodolfo E. Boillat and his daughter Ariela M Boillat run Finca Carrizal as third and fourth generation farmers. For over a dozen years, they have been investing in infrastructure and know-how, which allow them to produce beans every year that rank among the best specialty coffees from Costa Rica.

The farm is located between two volcanoes, Poas and Barva, to which it owes its incredibly fertile and coffee-growing friendly soil. Finca Carrizal also borders two rivers, which ensure a constant supply of fresh water needed for coffee production. 15% of the farm's area is covered by forest, which helps maintain biodiversity.
