Origin: Honduras

Region: Montecillos

Variety: Ihcafe 90, Catuai

Processing: Honey

Cupping score: 86 / 100

Altitude: 1600 m a. s. l.

LOVELY ESPRESSO

This coffee was roasted slightly darker than the pour-over version, with one clear goal from the start: to be an extra-sweet shot or the heart of a great milk-based drink. It shines as a classic espresso, but works just as well in cappuccino or latte, where its sweetness takes center stage.

The coffee comes from Finca La Valentina, a four-generation farm in the Montecillos region of Honduras, run by Carlos Ernesto Mejía Rodríguez. The farm, named after his daughter Valentina, is located at around 1,600 meters above sea level and covers 22 hectares. The varieties grown there include Ihcafe 90 as well as Red and Yellow Catuaí, with a strong focus on quality and a sustainable approach.

During harvest, only fully ripe cherries are hand-selected. The honey process further enhances the natural sweetness, while slow drying on sunny patios gives the coffee a full, dessert-like character. In the cup, you’ll find notes of milk chocolate, dates, and dried cranberries, making this a coffee that’s simply easy to love.

On our polish website, each package of this coffee comes with a little Valentine-style scratch card in polish. You can mark one of the hidden messages and give it to someone close to you, or just enjoy the playful format yourself. Options include: "Kocham Cię" ?(I love you), "Jesteś Git" (You’re great), "Lubię Cię" (I like you), "Tęsknie" (I miss you), "Zadzwoń" (Call me), "Dziękuję" (Thank you), as well as a blank option if you prefer to leave things unsaid. On the back of the card there’s space for your own message, for when a single word just isn’t enough.
