How to choose a tea brewer?

Tea is not only sachets and pyramid bags – fans of loose leave tea, which definitely requires some more attention, surely know what I mean. If you think that a day without tea is a day wasted, do check out our list of accessories for making this wonderful brew!

Hario Largo – tea dripper

A surprise right at the start – the dripper is not only a device for brewing coffee (we wrote about it here), but also a great method for making tea in a simple and aesthetically pleasing way! Thanks to the upper chamber, where the tea leaves are placed, we can see how the tea placed in hot water slowly releases colours, flavours and aromas.

In the Largo, you can brew up to 350 mL of tea at a time, but since it has a dripper, you can also reuse the same leaves or quickly replace them with a fresh batch of tea. This is a great way of preparing the brew when friends of family drop by.  You can keep adding more and more tea, and impress everyone by showing them how the leaves, fruit or flowers gently unfold at a high temperature.

The key element of the dripper is its silicone stand with a stainless steel filter and a switch, thanks to which the brew is poured directly into the server.  Furthermore, the set also includes dripper and jug lids – thanks to them, keeping the tea temperature is a lot easier.

How does it work?

Pour your favourite tea blend into the dripper – the upper part of the appliance. Slowly pour hot water over the leaves and cover the Largo with the lid, adjusting the steeping time for tea type. Push the switch at the dripper’s holder and see how the hot brew is decanted into the server – without any leaves!

Hario Aisne – cold brew filter bottle

Iced tea is an alternative for sugary drinks and boxed juices. If you can’t do without this type of drinks even in winter, the cold brew tea bottle should do the job for you! It is particularly popular in summer, when we are looking for new ways to keep cold, but it will also be the perfect solution all year round.

Why? Preparing the brew is super simple. All you need to do is place some tea in the bottle, cover it with cold water and then put it in the fridge. This way, you will make a delicate, refreshing brew without a hint of bitterness. When pouring the brew into the bottle, the filter keeps the tea leaves out. You can make up to 800 mL of iced tea in the Aisne bottle.

Hario Leaf Tea Pot – jug with infuser basket

A classic jug with an infuser basket in which you can make tea for two (with a refill!), since it holds 700 mL. It is a convenient classic – you simply pour the tea into the basket, pour an adequate amount of hot water over it, cover the jug with a lid and wait until the tea releases all its flavours. Since the jug is made of transparent glass, you can watch the whole tea steeping process. A huge strainer going almost to the bottom of the jug ensures a good extraction of the brew and lets you prepare even a small amount of tea.

You can find more beautiful teapots HERE. We particularly liked THIS ONE from the Olive Wood collection – an elegant olive wood finish will make your kitchen more stylish!

Hario Tea Press

We usually associate the French Press with brewing coffee. But why not use it for making tea? The device consists of a jug in the shape of a glass witha handle, and a press with a filter at the end. You simply pour the tea into the jug, pour water over it, place the plunger above the water line and wait until the leaves unfold.  After steeping, press the leaves down – thanks to that no leaves will get into your brew. Now you only need to pour the tea into your favourite tea cups and enjoy its delicious flavours.

Hario Bona Tea Kettle – white tea kettle

This stylish kettle can hold up to 800 mL of water and you can boil water with it both on gas and induction burners. A wide spout lets you put the leaves in motion in the correct way while pouring water. It is a cool tea gadget that adds a beautiful touch to the kitchen and makes preparing your favourite tea even more enjoyable.
