The plantation is irrigated using a meticulously designed system, based on reservoirs and water from the river flowing in the valley. An original on a global scale! ROASTER'S COMMENT We made a typical "modern" espresso, which is a relatively light, albeit long roast that will do well in longer extractions with higher yields. Very clean with a high sweetness that I associate with marzipan, and a good deal of fruity crispness, in the form of bright forest fruit acidity. PACKAGING The coffee is packed in a brown jar made of PET, 100% recyclable or reusable. In case you're thinking "oh no, plastic!", bear in mind that standard coffee packaging is also made of plastic (and a few other materials, making it often harder to recycle). We also thought about glass, but it's heavier, more expensive, breakable and, wait for it, has the same or greater (sic!) environmental impact! Green tea by Teasome. Jasmine Green is the most common high quality jasmine tea. It is the first spring leaves of a young Guangxi green tea with the powerful aroma of jasmine flowers. The natural process of flavouring this tea lies in spacing the leaves on a wide bamboo tray and arranging them in alternating vertical stacks with trays full of freshly cut jasmine buds. During the night, the flowers open up and release their aroma, which enters into the tea. The following day they are replaced with new buds. Our Jasmine Green were flavoured this way as many as 3 times! However, the main aspect of jasmine tea is not just the natural flavouring process, but the leaves themselves. Our tea’s leaves are from a high-altitude ao Feng green tea, which has a gentle, fresh taste. The flavouring process took place in early summer, after which the tea was immediately vacuum-packed and sent over. It is perfect for espresso and various alternative brewing methods. The set also includes Kruve Brewler. Grinding coffee is not only about the grinding size adjusted to the brewing method, but also about as equal coffee particles as possible. It gives a better control over extraction and brings out clean flavour. Kruve enables you to remove the fines (too small particles) and boulders (too large particles), keeping perfect grinds separated. The body consists of three aluminium parts and wooden (bamboo) lid. Inside, there are sieves set on two levels, the lower for the fines, and the upper for the boulders. All parts are perfectly fitted and made from high quality materials. The use is simple: put the sieves inside, pour in the grinds and shake for 30 - 60 seconds. The fines will drop on the bottom, the boulders will stay on the upper sieve, and the particles of the proper size will accumulate on the lower sieve. To clean the sieves just rinse them with water. Pour hot water onto the Gabi - that's all you really have to do! The water slowly drips into the dripper, rinsing the grounds. Depending on the amount of coffee you want to brew, simply repeat the step when the water flows completely through. A single pour is about 120 ml, and it takes about one minute for the water to glow out of the reservoirs. Optimally, you can brew about 360 ml of coffee in 3 minutes, dividing the process into 3 pours.
