To provide a good filtration of the brew and make sure there are no particles of ground coffee in your cup, special paper filter<\/a> is thick and multi-layered. To prepare a perfect, delicate infusion when brewing in Chemex, grind your coffee beans slightly coarser than medium.<\/p>\n

Chemex is not only a carafe, but it’s also a coffee decanter – perfect combination of an unique design with functionality. Let\u2019s not forget that Chemex is one of the exhibits in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.<\/p>\n

Coffee from Chemex tastes as good as it looks! Follow our simple recipe to get a truly perfect cup of a liquid pleasure.<\/p>\n

  1. Bring the water to the boil, unfold a paper filter and place it at the top of your brewer. Make sure to put a 3-layered side of the filter from the pouring spout side.<\/li>\n
  2. Pour lots of hot water on the filter so that you don\u2019t get a paper taste of the coffee. Hot water will heat up the brewer and the temperature of extraction will be more stable.<\/li>\n
  3. Coffee time! The best choice would be fresh speciality coffee beans, medium roast<\/a>. Grind your coffee slightly coarser than medium so that the extraction time will take from 3:30 to 5:00 minutes. Coffee to water ratio: 6-7g\/100 ml.<\/li>\n
  4. Pet the cat. Win! \ud83d\ude09<\/li>\n
  5. Empty the brewer. Don\u2019t worry, if the filter was placed correctly, it won\u2019t fall out. Next, put your ground coffee in the filter, check the water temperature (90-95\u00b0C). Now it\u2019s brewing time!<\/li>\n
  6. First \u2013 preinfusion, what basically means pre-brewing. Pour the coffee with water (around 2,5 x coffee mass) and wait 30 seconds while stirring lightly. Thanks to this process, we can get rid of an excess carbon dioxide from the coffee. Our brew will be more delicate and enjoyable. Trust me, coffee loves preinfusion!<\/li>\n
  7. Next, pour water all over the surface of the coffee. Use small batches of water to get a constant flow through the filter. Stir lightly between the batches.<\/li>\n
  8. When the coffee flow has stopped, remove the paper filter, stir your brew and you are ready to serve!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As you can see, brewing your coffee in the Chemex coffee maker is as simple as it gets. You can prepare from 3 to 10 cups of coffee at once, so you can easily satisfy even the greatest demand for caffeine!<\/p>\n
